Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs Manager

Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs Manager required for our global Chemical Manufacturing client.

Reporting to the Senior Director OF Regulatory Compliance, the purpose of product stewardship is to responsibly manage the health, safety, and environmental aspects of raw materials, intermediates, and products throughout their life cycle and across the value chain in order to prevent or minimize negative impacts and maximize value. As a member of our team, this position will focus on managing our European regulatory obligations, supporting our hazard communication, and the dissemination of product stewardship information. Success requires handling a high work load, balancing conflicting priorities, performing work in a detailed and thorough manner, and actively pursuing knowledge of regulatory requirements and how they impact our company products.

Key duties & responsibilities include:

1 – Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs Excellence in Europe
Support our company in meeting regulatory compliance objectives in Europe. Provide support in managing our EU REACH OR obligations, registration data, and regulatory information as well as becoming the internal subject matter expert for UK REACH. Reviewing SDS and labels for compliance. Provide regulatory surveillance and communication of impacts.

2 – Product Stewardship Communication & Regulatory Expertise
Working collaboratively within the global Product Stewardship team, and other internal stakeholders, provide responses to customer inquiries for product stewardship information in a timely manner. This requires a thorough understanding and interpretation of regulations and the ability to relate requirements to the product portfolio. Developing relationships with product management, technology, and sales will be required.

3 – Product Stewardship Management Support
Support the management of the department in meeting additional assigned tasks that achieve business objectives and bring value to our company. This may include obtaining and maintaining substance registrations or other compliance certifications. Work will cross global boundaries.

Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, toxicology, pharmacology, engineering or a related scientific or technical field of study.
8+ years of relevant experience in product stewardship or regulatory affairs required.
Strong background in EU REACH/CLP required. As well as understanding of UK REACH.
Working knowledge of GHS required.
Experience using SAP EHS highly desired, but not required.

Working Hours: 36.25 Hours Monday to Friday.
